Eastern Brook Trout Resources
Brook trout populations have severely declined across their native range due to a multitude of threats. Brook trout are indicators of clean water and their decline is the result of degraded human environments.
The Eastern Brook Trout Joint Venture (EBTJV) has produced a range-wide population assessment of wild Brook Trout; completed extensive work that identifies key threats to wild Brook Trout and their habitats; and developed conservation strategies to protect, enhance and restore wild Brook Trout.
