FISH THE GUNPOWDER THIS SATURDAY, MARCH 24TH!!!
The SVTU Chapter is planning a trip to the Gunpowder, Saturday, March 24.
The plan is that WE WILL MEET AT A LOCAL RESTAURANT, the “FILLING STATION”, with ThEAUX LE GARDEUR, owner of the BACKWATER ANGLER SHOP in Monkton at 8:00 AM.
The restaurant is south of the intersection of Mount Carmel Road and York Road a few miles south (in Sparks). It might be better to get off earlier as you come north on 83 vs. at the exit you normally exit for the shop.

After breakfast Theaux will give us a “guided tour” of the river for a couple of hours. Then we fish the rest of the day or until we want to leave. The word is that the April grays are out now (Theaux said this), so we can maybe have some dry fly fishing. We have a handful of interested fishermen now, but we can accommodate more due to the size of the river.
