MARCH 5 - CASTING CLINIC AND BEAVER CREEK WORKDAY

Thursday, March 3rd, 2011

Dave Cleaves is available to give a fly casting class on Saturday, March 5.  If interested in sharpening your skills you need to contact Noel Gollehon by NOON FRIDAY MARCH 4.  Contact: ngollehon@comcast.net

Doug Hutzell is organizing another Beaver Creek workday on Saturday, March 5 to do tree maintenance.  The tree work includes protecting (wire cages), staking and pruning trees planted a few years ago in previous restoration areas.  Plan on 9 to 1 meeting at the fly fishing parking area off Beaver Creek Church Road, near Doug’s house.  A group of about 6 worked from 9 to 4 last Saturday (SVTU members were Charles, Dale, Mark, Doug, and Noel) and made a lot of progress but accomplished less than half the task.  A group worked on Tuesday afternoon (SVTU members were Del and Doug) and knocked out more.  So there is less than a full day remaining if a good crew shows up.  Let Noel Gollehon know if you plan on attending.  Contact: ngollehon@comcast.net
